The GridBLOK is a new gas-phase air filtration medium in the form of an extruded monolithic block consisting of a large number of small, parallel cells or channels. The GridBLOK is composed of essentially 100% adsorbent materials allowing the entire composite structure to function as a gas filter. Due to the large number of cells in each GridBLOK, the contact area between the adsorbent layer and the airstream that travels inside the cells is very large. Furthermore, the cells are parallel so that the flow is not obstructed and the pressure drop across the GridBLOK is extremely low. The cellular geometry of the extruded GridBLOK provides a high surface area per unit volume important for proper impregnation of adsorptive materials. The size of the cells leads to turbulent flow and forces contaminated air into and through the gaspermeable cell walls of the GridBLOK. It also provides the residence time necessary to assure optimum contact efficiency and the associated high initial and average removal efficiencies. As the air is forced through the GridBLOK, removal of chemical contaminants takes place.
THE CK-12/24 MEDIAPAK DISPOSABLE PLASTIC MODULE is constructed of recyclable polystyrene plastic and features an integral one-inch header to fit any 12-inch headered filter section, box filter section or universal frame with no alterations to the air handling system. The CK-12/24 Module is factory-filled with your choice of Purafil dry-chemical media and packaged in a protective plastic bag to ensure media integrity. The MediaPAK is disposable and requires no maintenance: no emptying, no refilling, no mess! Also, no tools are necessary for module installation or replacement.
THE PK-18 MEDAPAK DISPOSABLE PLASTIC MODULE is maintenance-free and comes to you ready to be installed. When the media is spent the old module is simply replaced with a new one; no tools are required. The MediaPAKTM module slides easily into and out of the system on tracking. The MediaPAK is factory-filled with your choice of Purafil dry chemical media. During Purafil’s unique filling process, each module is placed on a media settling table to ensure a packed bed and to prevent the possibility of air bypass. The disposable MediaPAKTM offers effortless maintenance: there is no need to empty spent media, refill with new media, or vacuum to remove dust.

THE PURAFIL CANISTER, part number PC-24, is a disposable solution offering high removal efficiency for large amounts of gaseous contaminants. The unique design combined with Purafil’s patented media formulations, offer ten times the service life of other chemical filters. Purafil canisters are designed to fit existing holding frames and include gasketing to ensure bypass prevention. The Purafil Canister, part number PC-24 is filled with the appropriate Purafil dry-scrubbing chemical filtration media, the choice of which depends on the type of targeted gases. Each canister is designed to fit existing holding frames and is mounted in the base-plate frame by using a push and twist motion to lock the fittings into the corresponding slots. A gasket between the cylinder and the base plate assure proper sealing and prevents air bypass across the module mounting assembly. Purafil Canisters installed in makeup or recirculation air handling units (MAU, RAU) are able to achieve greater than 90% removal efficiency for contaminant gases.
