Model A-6ME Moisture / Oil Separator
Description
Airepure® model A-6ME Moisture Separators are highly effective in significantly reducing oil mist, water mist, fog or droplets from outside air or recirculated air. In addition, they are useful downstream of DX or chilled water coils and steam or mist-type humidifiers which allows saturated air to condense out. Also used in turbine intakes and as a spark arrestance etc. A-6ME Moisture Separators are designed for a minimum efficiency of 98% on 20 microns water or oil droplets when operating at 2.54 m/sec face velocity
Construction
A-6ME’s are constructed of a 1.5mm galvanised steel frame (standard); 1.2mm type 304 stainless steel optional. There are drain holes equally spaced on all four sides. Dimples are available on request. 25mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, or any size or thickness can be made. Frames have welded construction; all seams on the air exit side. Bail handles are available to make front load applications easier. Gaskets are available. The media pack in a 50mm filter is 16 layers of expanded metal, knitted mesh (to allow the fluid to drain easily), and corrugated wire screen. Galvanised material is standard. Type 304 stainless steel is optional. 100mm Frame with 50mm media pack also available.
Performance The mist eliminator is designed to operate at a face velocity of 2.54 m/sec. The velocity should not exceed 2.80 m/sec
Installation
The Airepure® A-6ME mist eliminator must be vertically installed in order to operate at peak efficiency. Mounting hardware must be designed to support the mist eliminator with adequate drainage.
